May Newsletter--History behind Guardian (May 2010)

Dear Readers

At last, GUARDIAN! This is the final book of the Warriors for the Light series. It comes out in June, 2010, and I sincerely hope you find it worthy to end this wonderful paranormal series.

What a long road! First, UNFORGIVEN as the launch book for Silhouette Nocturne in October, 2006! The next two books came out and then I hit a hiatus point due to personal reasons that took priority. And finally, phew! The last three are rolling out in April, May and June of 2010. It took four years but I hope you feel it was worth the wait!

I have loved writing this series. And I hope its given you great enjoyment and some things to think about. Or, who knows? Maybe go visit for yourself! I already have several readers who are going to visit the Great Serpent Mound near Dayton, Ohio (THE ADVERSARY, May, 2010).

With GUARDIAN, you’ll have to visit Scotland! Ohhhhhh, really a hard decision, huh? Haha. I was over in Rosslyn, Scotland, near Edinburgh, researching for a week. What was I researching? Well, nothing less than Rosslyn Chapel. It’s a magical place, but then, you’ll find that out as you read GUARDIAN. I went for the history, to see it in person, to feel its energy and to turn on my psychic detective abilities.

I had many Scots who live near Rosslyn helping me in one way or another. And should you want to visit this incredible chapel, I will put down some good places to stay. My first thanks goes to Thomas Mitchell, a Freemason, who along with his son Stuart translated what is inside Rosslyn and wrote a book about it, “Rosslyn Chapel, The Music of the Cubes,” 2006. They created the Rosslyn Motet based upon twenty years of translating the stone structures/cubes inside the chapel. It’s a phenomenal work and I urge you to check it out and order his book and CD if Rosslyn fever grabs you (as it did me). You can go to his website at: http://www.tjmitchell.com/stuart/rosslyn.html to purchase the book plus the CD.

Here’s a YouTube video you might find fascinating (as I did) http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cy2Dg-ncWoY.

Stuart Mitchell, Tommy’s brilliant musician and composer son, has been working at his father’s side for many years to understand the foundation of Rosslyn Chapel’s immense symbolic pictures. Check out his amazing websites, too: http://www.stuart-mitchell.com and
http://www.yourdnasong.com. Truly, this father-son team are way ahead of their time and I’m grateful to have met and worked with them on this book.

A Wondeful Place To Stay:

My favorite is Hillside Bed and Breakfast. Check it out. It’s only fifteen minutes from Rosslyn Chapel! Mrs. Shonagh Toulouse is the owner and a very kind person. You can email her for accommodations at: hillwood@talktalk.net. The website addresss for the bed and breakfast is http://www.hillwoodbedandbreakfast.co.uk/content.asp?CatID=6

Rosslyn Chapel:

You must go to their website! http://www.rosslynchapel.org.uk/p/visit-the-chapel-I175/

And once you go there, it changes you forever in the best of ways! Don’t take my word for it, go check it out yourself. Those who read Dan Brown’s book, THE DA VINCI CODE, got me interested in Rosslyn Chapel. And if you haven’t read this book, you should put it on your list. For more information visit Dan Brown's website at http://www.danbrown.com.

Susan Lloyd, Edinburgh, Scotland:

Susan Lloyd is a psychic and lives in Edinburgh. I had the great pleasure of meeting her while there. She’s an amazing, heart centered person. Check out her website at: http://www.7thspace.co.uk.

Grahame Martin, England:

My good friend, fellow homeopath, Grahame Martin, is from England. He made a special trip up to Rosslyn to meet with me. And, he’s a metaphysician like I am. Grahame and my good friend Ingrid Kropf from the Netherlands, spent hours every day in the crypt at Rosslyn Chapel--and we discovered a lot. Some of it is in GUARDIAN, but much is not. If you have friends in England who are looking for a terrific, heart-centered homeopath, Grahame is your guy. He can be reached at: grayzi@hotmail.com.

Ingrid Kropf, Netherlands:

Last, but never least, Ingrid Kropf from Witte Paarden, Netherlands, flew across the Channel to work with me at Rosslyn chapel. Ingrid is a shaman, a homeopath, a terrific herbalist (she has written an encyclopedia on herbology) and a clairvoyant. She worked with Grahame and I. We were psychic detectives, quite literally. We were trying to perceive and understand the underlying energies that are in the crypt area in Rosslyn Chapel. Ingrid brought a lot of the Viking element info, but you can read about that in my blogs! And although the chapel itself is incredible, the REAL energy, ground zero, is in the crypt. Ingrid gives seminars all of Europe in English and in Dutch. You can find out more about her at http://www.grizzlybearguide.com or you can email her at info@kruidenvakopleiding.nl.

Blogs on our Psychic Detective Work at Rosslyn Chapel

For those who really want to get your feet wet in what we were doing as psychic detectives at Rosslyn Chapel, please check out the blog: http://talesfromechocanyon.blogspot.com/. You’ll have to go to the ARCHIVES to read them, but they’ll be worth your while in my opinion. Start with September 11, 2009 blog (the first) and move forward to October 11, 2009 (the last blog on our work inside the chapel). I took several photos and made a lot of sketches of what is in the crypt. If you love symbols and archetypes, you’ll get to chew on these like we did. There are TEN blogs dedicated to our week of work and research within this incredible chapel. I hope you take the time after reading GUARDIAN, to immerse yourself.

GUARDIAN...the book!

Now, let me introduce you to book number six, the final novel in the Warriors for the Light! A Templar knight in a past life, Nicholas de Beaufort has no desire to inhabit his former human body again. But when he’s ordered to return to his human form to guard Mary Anderson, a woman with a special purpose, he has no choice.

Unsure of his new mission, Nicholas is only certain of the scorching lust Mary ignites in him. Mary needs to find the two magical emeralds that could restore harmony to the planet. But when an unexpected threat surfaces, Nicholas's mission becomes clear. He must protect the woman he can’t live without -- and battle the evil that could destroy the Earth....

Let me hear from you, dear readers, after you’ve finished the series!

NEW SAGA FROM LINDSAY MCKENNA! (April 2010)

Dear Readers

I’m very happy to announce the beginning of a brand new series with HQN! Cowboys, Ranchers, the Wild West and the strong, feisty women who fight and stand at their side is now a reality. Having grown up in the rural West, I know it well. And having a ranch at one time, it’s easy to write about what I know so well. This is a family-oriented saga in the tradition of Morgan’s Mercenaries. Only, this is about one town and its fascinating, courageous and sometimes villainous inhabitants. You will get to know them like you get to know your own neighbors.

I have already started to set the foundation for this ongoing saga with SHADOWS FROM THE PAST, HQN, December, 2009. That was Book One. There, you learned of Kamaria Trayhern’s journey to find out who her real father is...a tough Wyoming rancher, no less. This book sets the stage for the ongoing saga series.

The Wild West was never like Jackson Hole, Wyoming. It is an untold story waiting to be unwrapped and savored. This town is considered the Palm Springs of the Rocky Mountain states. The filthy rich, Hollywood stars and sprawling cattle ranching barons all meet in this valley town that has its own unique characters. There is jockeying between the politicos, the billionaire businessmen and ranchers who want to maintain their rugged way of life no matter how much the world may change around them.

Few people realize that Jackson Hole, Wyoming is the gateway to the Teton and Yellowstone National Parks. Yellowstone draws millions of global tourists and is well known in every corner of the world as a result. The US Forest service squares off with ranchers over grazing rights. The BLM fights to bring wolves back to Yellowstone. The Green Peace movement fights ranchers to preserve buffalo as an American symbol. Oil men are independent, wanting their own way and fight to keep it that way. Mining interests in Wyoming are huge, but so are the hazardous material run off. The sheriff’s department gets called on some real wild west situations. The women of Wyoming are bred tough and smart. The men are hardened by rugged weather elements and a challenging outdoor life as ranchers. This state isn’t for sissies. Anyone living in Wyoming finds out real fast if they have the strength to withstand the state’s weather, its fierce competitors and constant challenges.

The stories will be developed with this exciting backdrop. Tales of the men and women who were born in Wyoming, or who came here to hide or start a new life, will be the focus. No matter the challenges that are like the mighty Tetons; beautiful, hazardous and ultimately iconic, these heroes and heroines will carve out a life and surmount whatever Life has to throw at them. Jackson Hole is a rich man’s paradise and the middle and poor classes must eke out a living in this larger-than-life cow town. Readers, with two HQN’s a year, will learn about the citizenry, their quirks, eccentricities and the obstacles will each confront. They will cheer for the good guy and boo the villains.

SHADOWS FROM THE PAST, HQN, December 2009

DEADLY IDENTITY, HQN, December 2010

And starting in 2011, TWO books a year as a continuation of the JACKSON HOLE, WYOMING SERIES!

Silhouette Nocturne Update (February 2010)

Dear Readers,

I’m jazzed! At last! Starting in 2007 I penned the launch book for Silhouette Nocturne, Unforgiven. It was the first of a project six book series called Warriors for the Light. I had anticipated finishing this series sooner than 2010, but “life” got in the way.

The good news is the last three books are coming out now, in 2010!!

Book four is Reunion which is being released in April, then The Adversary in May, and finally, Guardian in June. Hopefully this will make for a great, unbroken reading experience for all of you!

Let’s talk about Reunion!

Eternal passion comes at a price....

He claims it was a brutal test of his Jaguar powers that divided their fates for centuries. All Aella knows is that a familiar joy courses through her body when she arrives on an archeological assignment at the Great Serpent mound. Who is this godlike stranger who comes to her in her dreams? she should be terrified.

Instead, Fox’s protective presence awakens in Aella memories of torrid lovemaking--and a yearning she can’t deny. If she believes her visions, Aella is Fox’s lost Incan bride...and he is her soul flame. But Fox is competing with the Dark Lord who is determined to keep them apart, hovering on the brink of temptation, eternally separated from the Light....

Come and read Aella’s story as she is hired by the Vesica Pisces Foundation to find the next emerald sphere for the Emerald Key Necklace. Aella flies to the Great Serpent Mound in Ohio to try and locate this powerful and elusive sphere. Victor Guerra, Dark Lord of the Tupay, is intent on letting her find it and then stealing it from her. And he’s more than ready to kill anyone who stands in his way--even Aella. Or the man in spirit, Fox, who loves her above his own life. Who will win?

I hope you enjoy the next installment of the Warriors for the Light series.

Warmly,

Lindsay McKenna

BLACK JAGUAR SQUADRON (February 2010)

Hi Readers!

The BLACK JAGUAR SQUADRON is BACK!!! So many of you have begged and pleaded with me to bring it back, that I have. So you see, dear readers, you DO have lots of sway with me--and my publisher :-)

First, check out the video trailer on this book at:
http://bookmarket.ning.com/video/book-video-trailer-his-woman

There will be one book a year at Silhouette Romantic Suspense featuring the spin-off of the original Black Jaguar Squadron that was set in Machu Picchu, Peru. BJS 60 is run by none other than Major Dallas Klein (you will remember she was the XO, executive officer, at the BJS squadron in Peru. She got a promotion and is now heading up BJS 60 in a secret base, Bravo Camp, near the Afghanistan-Pakistan border). And she’s got an all-woman Apache combat pilot squadron of women rearin’ to go!

First up is Captain Nike Alexander, who was born in Athens, Greece and loved to fly from age fourteen onward. Her airline pilot father supported her flying and eventually, she ended up transferring to the US Army, on loan from Greece, to learn how to fly the Apache combat helicopter. Nike spent a year in Peru chasing the druggies in the Apache and she’s no stranger to combat. Now, at Dallas’ request, Nike has just come to Afghanistan, to the secret CIA base, to be a part of BJS 60.

I hope you enjoy His Woman in Command.

Warmly,

Lindsay McKenna

Dear Reader,

Happy sixtieth anniversary, Harlequin! I'm humbled to have Heart of the Eagle selected as one of the original novels to be reissued as part of the celebration. I've been with Silhouette Books and Harlequin Books since 1983—that's twenty-six years of working with wonderful editors at these fine publishing houses. In a way, I'm celebrating reaching my quarter century mark with them, too.

So few publishers last very long, but Harlequin Books has its fingers on the pulse of our readers' tastes. That is one of many reasons Harlequin has become more successful over time. I always enjoy hearing from my readers, learning what you loved about my last book and what you're looking forward to reading from me in the future. Most of all, I enjoy the feeling of being part of a global family with my readers.

A writer can never write outside her experience. At least, I know I can't. And perhaps, because I have a ranch background, my love of the Rocky Mountains and ranching life shines through Heart of the Eagle. Anything having to do with nature always lies close to my soul.

I hope you enjoy the "heart" and soul of this book as much as I did writing it for you.

Warmly,

Lindsay McKenna

May 2009

Dear Readers:

Finally, the 5th and final child's story from Morgan and Laura Trayhern! Kamaria Trayhern, who was adopted by them after a massive earthquake in Los Angeles, California, is spreading her wings to fly. As an adopted child, she has gone out to try and find out who her real family is. What will she find?
Family secrets have a way
of hiding in plain sight…

When photojournalist Kamaria Trayhern goes undercover at the Mason family ranch, she’s hoping to find her real father, not romance. But keeping everyone convinced she is who she claims to be will be harder than she expects----especially where one sexy ranch hand is concerned.

After all he’s been through, there’s no way Wesley Sheridan wants to tangle with more heartache and lies. So the last thing he needs is to be drawn to the pretty new caretaker. But with a jealous killer out to rewrite Mason family history forever, two lonely hearts must learn to trust each other....if they hope to survive the season.

Warmly,

Lindsay McKenna

Spring 2009

Hi Everyone!

I know it’s only February, but Spring is just around the corner! I hope you aren’t completely frozen by the frigid winter that still holds the USA in its grip. Of course, if you live south of the Equator, to all my readers in Australia and New Zealand--it is beautiful, mild summer time! I love how my books are global! I get feedback from you via emails, which I always enjoy.

I’ve been hard at work. Late in 2008, I signed a 10-book contract. A whopper. Here’s the breakdown:

3 books for Silhouette Romantic Suspense--I will pen three new Black Jaguar Squadron series books. Many of you have been asking me to write about the stalwart BJS women who started out in Peru chasing druggies. Now, if you read, MISSION: Christmas (a novella that I shared with my good friend, Susan Grant), you saw Dallas Klein finally got her story told!! If you haven’t read it, you can order directly from me since Harlequin no longer has it in print. I do have copies, so just email me your needs.

These next three books will be over in Afghanistan (a favorite country of mine for many reasons). And there is a NEW BJS squadron: BJS 60!! And guess who is the CO? None other than Major Dallas Klein!! I’ve already written the first book and its in on my editor’s desk. This first book will be coming out in February, 2010, so stay tuned!

Four book contract with Silhouette Nocturne. I get to continue my Warriors for the Light series! There are 7 books planned. I’ve written two of them already and one is on my editor’s desk and the other I am revising and editing from rough draft presently. Nocturne is planning on having THREE of them come out in June, July and August, 2010. So this is great. And then, I’ll write the 7th book, the final book and will let you know more about that as it evolves insofar as publishing date, ect.

Three book contract with HQN, the mid list for Harlequin. SHADOWS FROM THE PAST, December 2009, is already in the works. This is Kamaria Trayhern’s book--the fifth child, the adopted one, of Morgan and Laura Trayhern. This will end the five children’s books. But, the good news is, I’m continuing on with Noah Trayhern’s children plus Clay Cantrell and his wife, Alyssa Trayhern-Cantrell’s children. Look for them to show up in the BJS books as well as here! Many readers have been wanting to know what Morgan’s brother, Noah and his sister, Alyssa, have been up too. Now, you’ll find out! I truly enjoy writing books on the Trayherns. And if your emails are any indication, so do you!

I’m deep in writing, editing rough draft and creating proposals. Although I have only two books coming out in 2009, I will have FIVE out in 2010! So we go from lean to bonanza years.

As always, stay in touch! I hope you enjoyed the video on DANGEROUS PREY! I plan more videos on the coming books--so check back often with my web site to see what is new. Also, DANGEROUS PREY was just bought for large print edition in the UK and that’s a great sale!

For those of you who love the paranormals and you want to know where I get my info for my Nocturne books, a special treat! I’m doing net radio interviews from www.xzone-radio.com. For those who couldn't get my first interview with Rob McConnell at xzone-radio.com go to this web site
you'll see a box that says iTunes--click on that and this will take you to iTunes. You'll see about 300 interviews there. I'm #53 Eileen Nauman Medicine Garden for my first interview. And, it's a FREE download. All you have to do is click on the free button and the entire interview will download into your machine where you can listen to it.

Another way to get my interviews is go to: http://www.xzonearchives.com/january2009.htm and the date of my first interview which took place on January 16, 2009. You'll see my segment there--click on tab and it will take you to itunes to download. Play it on your ipod! Or listen to it on the desktop of your computer. Have fun!

Also, don't forget--talking about "Something is Going On in Sedona" tonight with Rob on his show at 10 p.m. MST (my time) to 11 pm. I hope you can eavesdrop because there is no answer to WHAT is going on... only that something is... a real mystery. If you listen in, send me your thoughts on what you think is happening here in my back yard!

Lots of things happening. You can find me on myspace.com, facebook.com as well as on my blogs:

http://talesfromechocanyon.blogspot.com

http://mslindsaymckenna.blogspot.com

I try to cover all the bases with my global friendships with my readers. And I always love to hear what is on your mind, what you’d like to see next from me as well as your favorite book! Back to work! I can hardly wait to see Spring arrive!

Warmly, Lindsay McKenna

December 2008

Hi Everyone!

Now, for the final contest of the year! I love giving things that are meaningful to my readers.

Harlequin sent me their 2009 Harlequin's Vintage Cover Calendar. That was a wonderful gift! I think, though, a reader would cherish it even more than I would.

So, here is the contest.

Between December 25 to 31, 2008 you can enter ONE number between 1 and 100. Whoever guesses the number or is closest to it, will win the 2009 Calendar!

This is truly a RARE, one-of-a-kind publishing gift. Maybe in 25 or 50 years it will show up on ebay and make you some good money, haha.

Seriously, this is a one-of-a-kind calendar. I've never known Harlequin to create such a gift to the writers. And it's a beauty! These are 12 covers from the past when Harlequin began in 1949.
And their very first book, THE MANATEE by Nancy Bruff, is in this calendar!! Truly, a keepsake of grand proportions!

Anyone who is a member of the Lindsay McKenna list can send me their number guess! Just send privately to me at docbones224@earthlink.net

If you aren't a member, just go to my website, www.lindsaymckenna.com and look up in the tool bar. Click on CONTACT. This will take you to that page. On the right hand side of it is subscription button.
Press it and you're on your way to being on my list and being able to enter this contest.

Winner will be announced on January 1, 2009 on my list!

Good Luck and Happy New Year!!

Warmly,
Lindsay McKenna

October 2008

Hi Everyone!

It was a joy to work on a novella with Susan Grant, one of my favorite writers. We had a lot of fun weaving information between our two novellas so that they give the reader a chance to integrate both of them in a unique way. Susan and I are military veterans. You can read up on this fantastic woman writer at her website: www.susangrant.com and read her blog at: www.susangrant.blogspot.com.

Needless to say, I'm proud to be working with another vet. We're 'can-do' type of women. For those of you who have been pining away for another Black Jaguar Squadron (BJS) story--here it is! And those who have been asking over the years for Dallas to have a book--well, here it is! And, this novella sets up a new series with Silhouette Suspense in which the BJS will once again, own the skies! It just goes to show that if you email or write to me about what you'd like to see next, that it works. I'm looking forward to penning three more BJS novels for you.

THE CHRISTMAS WILD BUNCH is about executive office for the Black Jaguar Squadron. Major Dallas Klein finally leaves Peru and their secret base run solely by officers and enlisted women, for a border assignment. Dallas is asked to become executive officer for the Border Patrol and will be in charge of flying Cessna aircraft over well known drug corridors in Mexico to the US border. Mike Murdoch, ATF agent, is the head of the "wild bunch" at the Border Patrol airfield just inside the US boundary. Murdoch does not want to have a woman for a boss. The sparks fly immediately between them and Dallas doesn't tread lightly. She's been in charge for years and knows what it takes to whip the Wild Bunch into shape to chase the bad guys, the drug smugglers. Will Mike bend his iron will to her steel will? Or not? These two get along like a cat and dog warily circling one another. And yet, they are inexplicably drawn to one another. Will Dallas be able to tame this group of challenging ATF pilots? Or not?

Fall 2006 Newsletter

Hi Everyone!

What a busy year! I care take my 90 year old mother and for those who are in their 50’s and 60’s, you know that age does have its ups and downs. And although she’s going strong, she’s still slowly going down hill and my time is being taken up more than usual with her needs--which is okay with me, but it does stop me from putting out my newsletter and other things from time to time.

So, I’m trying to get back in the saddle here, so to speak, and share with you on my writing projects. A writer is not just a writer. A writer has a life, family responsibilities just like you....and the writing gets put in around these important other things in one’s life.

First of all, thank you, dear readers, for your enthusiasm for my Silhouette Nocturne launch book, UNFORGIVEN! It was a joy to participate in this new series opening about the metaphysical/paranormal. Many of you know this is right down my alley since I was raised and taught metaphysics from a very young age by my mother and father.

And, thanks to you, UNFORGIVEN was #10 on the Waldenbooks Bestseller list a week before its release. This meant that your PRE-orders were so high that it actually put the book on the list! Wow! That has never happened to me before, so thank you! And then, the week of its release, 9.26.06, it shot to #1 on the Walden’s list. The week after that, it remained at #1. The FOURTH week, it was #8....such was the strength of your buying it. Incredible! I’ve never had a series book remain on Walden’s list for FOUR weeks in a row! Thank you!

And toward that end, I’ve been getting a number of emails from you enthusiastic folks about the Vesica piscis which is on the cover (the double rings on the heroine’s neck) of UNFORGIVEN. Below is a typical letter from a reader and I thank CB for giving me permission to put it in this newsletter. She goes on to say:

“Hi Lindsay,

I just finished your book, Unforgiven, and had to send you an email.
I’ve been drawn to Metaphysics for a while now and just reading what
you wrote, and how you explained things to the readers through stories
from Reno’s and Calen’s youth, was incredible. It was a pleasure to
read and learn!! Thank you so much. I feel like I was meant to read
this.

I went to your website, looking for perhaps a link to a website or a book
to read for my own growth, and was disappointed not to see any. If
you ever thought of updating your website with that kind of information,
I vote yes for it!! I bet you are so busy that you don’t answer emails,
but I was wondering about your note at the beginning of the book on
the Vesica piscis. Do you physically sit in the center of the Eye and
meditate? or do you think about while meditating?

Once again, Thanks so much for an enlightening book!

CB”

For those of you who want to actually USE the Vesica piscis symbol, I’ve written a big article on it over at my ‘other’ website which is my metaphysical/paranormal one. The article title is: PREPARING FOR THE GLOBAL SHIFT Moving to the LIGHT from the DARK: How to Do It , by Eileen Nauman.

And, by the way, since I discovered this symbol in 2000 at Chalice Wells, Glastonbury, England, I’ve been utilizing it myself with incredible and interesting results--which is WHY I wrote about it. I sit and meditate in the EYE portion of it, where the two circles overlap one another. I also will create a larger one with two sixteen-foot lengths of red yarn on my office floor and lay down in the EYE, head to toe, within it. Many times, I go to sleep in it, haha.

And working daily or weekly with the VP, as I call it, you can enhance your sleeping. I was having a lot of waking up and going back to sleep back in 2000 before I went to England and discovered this miraculous symbol at Chalice Wells. But after working daily and weekly with meditations within this symbol, my sleeping straightened out and now I get eight hours a night--every night! Sleep is vital for everyone, but never more so for a writer!

Please try it out--you will find it amazing, positive and who knows where it might lead you? I know it helps sleeping and stops insomnia--at least, it did mine. So, for those with sleep deprivation--give it a try! If you have any questions, you can always, after reading the above article, email me at: docbones@gotsky.com I’m also in the process of getting a lot of ‘testimonials’ of other people using the Vesica piscis as a symbol for meditation and how it affected and helped them, too.

I intend, with my Silhouette Nocturne series (I’ve signed a 3-book contract with them) to share and divulge actual working tools I was taught since childhood with my readers. These are ‘tools’ anyone can use for positive and useful results. I was taught that if you don’t come from the heart, from a point of compassion for others, that one should never employ such knowledge and this is good advice for me, as a nine year old when I went into training as it is today for me and you.

Also, on another subject, I did a one-month long (almost) blog over at eharlequin.com most of September, 2006 before the release of UNFORGIVEN. Those of you who are interested in writing, I put a lot of time and care into a very thoughtful series on writing, how to write, the business of writing, ect. You can’t access this blog at www.eharlequin.com, just yet. They haven’t put it in the archives, but they will... so be looking for it shortly.

I’ve been working nonstop on Book 2 of the Warriors for the Light series and Silhouette Nocturne. DARK TRUTH, the working title, is going to be out July, 2007. That may seem a long way away but for me, who is working on the final draft that has to be in by contract on December 1, 2006, it is not. I love this book, and I love where it’s going and how it is unfolding....and I hope you will, too!

If you have comments about UNFORGIVEN, your response to the book, please send them to me! I’m compiling them and would like to have your permission to post them in my next newsletter. You can always send them to my above email address with thanks.

What other Lindsay McKenna book is coming out? December, 2006 I’m thrilled in pink to have another Morgan’s Mercenaries book called BEYOND THE LIMIT (HQN--and it will be in the single titles section of your bookstore). It is Marine Corps Major Pete Trayhern’s book! And isn’t it always fun to see how the children of a family develop, evolve and see how life takes them down this path or that? To me, that’s fascinating. And I hope you love Pete’s story as much as I did in creating it! Please do let me know.

And, BEYOND THE LIMIT, for you computer handy readers, is going to be available as an Ebook on the release date, too! All you have to do is order it up at eharlequin.com! What a way to get a book--streaming from the publisher directly into your computer. What a gas! Woulda thunk? The computer age is here big time!

As always, I love to hear from you, my dear readers, about BEYOND THE LIMIT.

What else am I working on? Well, I’m developing a stand-alone, single-title releases via HQN on my Native American novels. The first, HEART OF THE STORM, will be coming out December, 2007. I’m so proud of this book because it is infused from start to finish with the world I routinely live in daily. Native Americans do see life and reality quite differently than most folks and I happen to think it’s a fascinating way of looking at and living life! And thanks to Harlequin, and my editor, Tracy Farrell, who runs HQN, they have allowed me to begin my journey on writing only Native American toned books. They will of course have romance, adventure and action which is typical of any book I write. Only, they will be seen through Native American eyes in totality. I guarantee you, we live in a fascinating, magical world and I hope you will come with me and absorb our culture and our way of seeing life through HEART OF THE STORM when it is released December, 2007.

You won’t want for my books! And, I’ve just signed a contract to do an anthology with Silhouette Romantic Suspense (Silhouette Intimate Moments but their name is going to change as of January, 2007, so note this) with Susan Grant a good friend and sister writer of mine! Sue writes wonderful books and she flies 747 Jumbo Jets for United Airlines, around the world. She was one of the first women to go through the Air Force academy, too, and I have deep respect for her moxie and courage. You can visit Sue’s website at: www.susangrant.com and she’s got a great, ongoing blog about her flight travels and tribulations at: www.susangrant.blogspot.com Be sure to check them out! She’s a lot of fun to read and I’m fortunate enough to be her friend, which I value more than anything. But I’m a great reader of her books too and I urge you to pick them up! You won’t be sorry. And, the kick butt, take names romantic suspense stories we cook up for you will be released November, 2008 as a Christmas anthology! We don’t have a working title yet because it’s so far away, but rest assured, when I get the info, you’ll be the first to know here on my website!

Don’t forget, you can always tag team me at my blog, which I try to update weekly, at: www.talesfromechocanyon.blogspot.com You can see me wearing my many hats, plus being a writer over there. I think it’s a lot of fun to see who a writer really is and this is your opportunity to do just that!

Happy Fall! And Happy Thanksgiving which is coming up shortly. I’m thankful each and everyone of you is in my life. I’m thankful to be living in the USA. Don’t forget....if you can....give to those who have less than we do. I just sent in my yearly donation check to www.heifer.org It is my favorite charity and my way of sharing my money with those who have an awful lot less than I do. If you can afford a donation to your local mission to help folks during the Thanksgiving holiday, please do so. Me? Well, we buy turkeys and take them over to the Cottonwood Mission here in Cottonwood, Arizona.

Have a wonderful Thanksgiving! And the best of health!

Warmly, Lindsay McKenna
