Carolyn Blashek, who created Operation Gratitude, invited me out to put a copy of High Country Rebel, HQN, July 2013, which I dedicated to Operation Gratitude, into the “Millionth Box” that they send to our service people. It was an honor!

Operation Gratitude is one of the charities that I support. They send CARE boxes addressed to a specific person, so that they are not forgotten by any of us. To get a box that has YOUR NAME on it carries a powerful emotional impact of positive good. It makes the service man or woman feel like they are special; that they really are thought of by all of us. Having been in the US Navy, I know what it’s like to be far away from my parents and home. Getting a package was one of the best things in the world for me. And that hasn’t changed to this day.
